Trunk Show: Skein or Shine

Welcome to YU Presents: Skein or Shine!

This is the second of our summer trunk shows, and this beautiful yarn will be with us all weekend! Everything you see here is only available from 11am on August 20th to 10pm on August 22nd. All trunk show purchases are final sale.

Join us on Instagram at 11am on Friday, August 20th for a Live conversation between Amelia (YU) and Alanna (Skein or Shine). They'll take you on a tour of the trunk show, and take all your questions!

FYI: putting something into your cart does not put it on hold. If you are concerned about something being grabbed by another shopper, we recommend checking out quickly and then coming back to browse the rest of the show. (If you are shipping your order, we can combine shipping. Just select curbside pickup on your subsequent orders and we'll reach out to clarify.)

During the trunk show, we have to dismantle our winding equipment and won't be able to wind yarn. If you would like to have it wound, leave a note at check out and we will do so starting Monday, August 23rd.

If you do plan to visit the show in person, please keep in mind our current public health policies:*

 

• One group of maximum two (2) people at a time, both from the same household.
• Customers must both be wearing a fabric or medical mask (Clear face or mouth shields alone are not adequate protection)
• Visits will be limited to 15 minutes each, especially if someone is waiting outside
• Upon entering the store, you will be asked to use our hand sanitizer before touching anything

Hey! I’m Alanna, an Ottawa-based yarn dyer. I run Skein or Shine Yarn Co. from my home dye studio (aka my kitchen!) where I love to create and play around with new colourway ideas! I have a soft spot for pastels and speckles, but mostly dye based on my mood. When I’m not busy dyeing yarn, you can find me knitting almost anywhere, bingeing Netflix with my pets, and listening to true crime podcasts.
