Lichen & Lace was founded in 2013 in Sackville, New Brunswick by Megan Ingman, a recent transplant from Toronto, Ontario. Megan had just sold her yarn shop Lettuce Knit, and was looking for her next project. Originally a one-woman operation, Lichen & Lace now has several staff and quite an operation producing stunning, one of a kind hand-dyed yarn.

This unplied, 100% merino is so so soft. The single ply texture gives a sophisticated and delicate look to anything you make. It especially suits shawls and scarves with some lace in the pattern, but can be used to success for any pattern that calls for a fingering weight. Not recommended for socks as there is no nylon for reinforcement and the single ply texture doesn't hold up long underfoot.

**Each skein of hand-dyed yarn is a unique item. As such, the yarn you receive can differ somewhat from batch to batch, and from this picture. While we do our best to represent here the colourways of each dyer, it is possible that the yarn you receive may not look exactly like the one seen here.

While no dye lot is available, they are usually dyed in batches and we do our utmost to ensure each skein of the same colourway and your order matches as well as possible. Always buy enough yarn for your project. If we cannot guarantee a good match between skeins, we will contact you before shipment to make arrangements.
