This wraps per inch gauge is a great tool to have around while spinning or when you need to know the thickness of a yarn in your stash. The lines are recessed by 0.5mm to allow you to easily check the thickness of your yarn. The wraps per inch gap is 2 inches wide so to use this tool you wrap until the gap is full, count your wraps, and divide by two to get your wraps per inch. You can also lay your yarn over the recesses to find the nearest common size.
These are made from 5 mm maple plywood. The finished measurements are 6 cm x 8 cm. These are small enough to fit in your spinning or knitting bag but big enough to be easily found.
