Riverside Studio Untreated Soft Sock

Riverside Studios was the very first hand-dyed yarn that we ordered for Yarns Untangled and to continues to be one of our very favourite yarn companies. They boast a wide selection of truly beautiful colourways, hand-dyed out of Wakefield, Quebec.

This yarn is a beautiful Canadian milled 3 ply untreated Merino, 20% nylon blend. A fingering weight yarn it is incredibly soft for next to skin wear. It is in fact soft enough for a baby, and has a subtle halo. Due to the fact that it is untreated the colours are gentle and slightly more muted that superwash. One skein is enough for a pair of adult socks, a shawl or a baby garment. The skein is 115 grams and 420 yards.
